From French
to Nordic languages

French cultural institutions provide three different grants aimed at helping foreign publishers publish French books in translation. The PAP, run by the Institut français in Paris, is a grant for acquisitions, the local PAP, run by the Instituts français abroad, is a more general grant for publication, and the CNL translation grant.

CNL Residency Grant for Translators

The purpose of this grant for translators working from French into foreign languages is to develop the network of professional translators working from French or one of the languages of France into foreign languages by offering them the opportunity to stay in France to carry out a translation project.Amount that may be grantedFrom €2,000 to €6,000 (up to three months' stay with €2,000 per month).
