Quentin Meillassoux, born in 1967 in Paris, is a French philosopher.

A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure and a former top-ranked philosophy teacher in France, he was, as of 2023, a lecturer at Université Paris-1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. Previously, he served as a teaching fellow at the École Normale Supérieure on rue d'Ulm.

Meillassoux is known for his role in shaping speculative realism, proposing a metaphysics grounded in the concept of contingency. He has also written extensively on the poet Stéphane Mallarmé.
