A specialist in Spinoza, Maxime Rovère has created a historical and philosophical tale entirely based on facts and texts, in the same vein as Umberto Eco (The Name of the Rose) or Stephen Greenblatt (Quattrocento). He currently teaches philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. Le Clan Spinoza is his debut novel.
