CONTACT

Laurent Mauvignier was born in Tours in 1967. He obtained a degree in fine arts from the Beaux-Arts in 1991 and published his first novel, Loin d'eux, in 1999 with Éditions de Minuit. Since then, he has published several novels and plays, and has written for television and cinema.

His world is one of people struggling with reality, trying to live their dreams despite the obstacles life throws in their way, and attempting to overcome their traumas (whether personal – suicide, disappearance – or collective – the Heysel disaster, the Algerian War).

He is working on a body of work centred around the novel, but which also looks towards cinema and theatre.
