Emmanuel Carrère published his first novel in 1983 (“L'Amie du jaguar”) and is now considered one of the biggest names in contemporary French literature.

He received the Femina Prize for La Classe de neige (1995),the L’Express Readers’ Prize for D’autres vies que la mienne (2009), the Renaudot Prize for Limonov (2011),the Le Monde Prize for Le Royaume (2014), and the Aujourd’hui Prize for V13 (2022).
